Entertainment on Campus

Different departments at school hold events weekly, so you’ll always be able to find something to do for entertainment. In your university email, you should receive an overview of the events happening every week. They are also announced on the school website and social media. Here are some examples of events that happened last year!


UOP International events

Last year, UOPI welcome students back to school in January, UOPI hosts a welcome lunch and a gaming tournament. In February, UOPI hosted a Lunar New Year celebration with hot pot and games, as well as a Valentine’s Day cookie decorating contest. In March, students participated in the League of Legends tournament and a movie night. Then, in April, students joined an indoor picnic and had the chance to plant succulents.

The Lair

Events are regularly held in The Lair on the second floor of the DeRosa University Center. These include karaoke, poetry readings, music performances, and art sessions.

Janet Leigh Theatre

Every weekend, the on-campus theatre showcases a new movie. Screenings are free for all students who show their Pacific ID.



Clubs and departments

Student organizations regularly hold events. For instance, VSA (Vietnamese Student Association) and Kilusan Pilipino host culture nights annually. Different sport clubs such as Badminton Club have open gym, while gaming clubs like Smash Club meet regularly to play games. Departments on campus, such as your major’s department, also have events where they may bring in guest speakers or put on a show.

Big ASUOP events

Associated Students of the University of the Pacific (ASUOP) puts on many events during the school year, including some big ones. Homecoming and Tiger Lands are some of the biggest events on campus. During the weekend of Homecoming, there are multiple events such as a rally, food truck frenzy, and a concert featuring famous artists. There’s also a concert with established artists during Tiger Lands in the spring, along with raffle prizes, free food, games, art sales and more.
